The Playful Indian

I remember growing up hating the 'indian-ness' of my parents and family. All the functions and things we had to do and just wanted to be like everyone else. I didn't understand who I was at the time. As I've grown, I have learned to accept and understand more of who I am.

I chose to illustrate around food-related items as I feel that food itself is a universal language. Something that brings people together no matter who they are and where they are from.
