AK-Wilde
AK-Wilde is the name for a new collection of designs and products by textile designer and teacher, Karen Hamilton-Bannis. Karen's Wynderush collection is inspired by the women of the Caribbean who travelled to the UK in the fifties and sixties as part of the Windrush Generation. Colourful and bold, tropically infused abstract patterns.

My Mum, her friends Jean Martin, Lynnette Bracket, Enid
Richardson, Connie Marks and others of her circle of women were a force of nature. Their stories span a lifetime of community involvement and activism.
As a print designer, I took in all this information and responded the only way I knew, I started designing prints that reflected all these influences and I created the Wynderush Legacy Print Collection, naming each print after the women.
