Meet the Maker
Yi Crafts
Intercultural sharing is constant and unconscious throughout our daily lives, and handcrafts are the physical embodiment of cultural sharing.
As a Bai ethnic minority, I have experienced the great diversity within the UK, but I felt that the diverse cultures of China’s numerous ethnic minorities are underrepresented, with ‘China’ viewed as a single cultural source.
So, I started YICRAFTS in 2019 to share authentic Chinese cultures by offering traditional Chinese handcrafts workshops and handmade products in London.
